Parsing test menus and application notifications could appear behind modal overlays or become unreachable while the background was inert. Share a stable top-layer portal that belongs to the owning or active modal, preserving notification timers, keyboard navigation and focus restoration.
Add unit and Electron regression coverage for settings, nested parsing results, application center, inference monitoring and native dialogs, with matching UI guidance and validation evidence.
Validation recorded in the preceding implementation: 4,793 tests passed and 67 skipped; typecheck, lint, isolated production build and Electron UI checks passed. Staged diff whitespace checks passed before this commit.

Add HTTP PaddleOCR-VL settings and shared document previews for chat and knowledge imports. Preserve attachment originals and parsed assets across drafts, messages and queues; support explicit image OCR, selecting document images into a conversation draft, and restoring queued input for editing.
Protect unsaved note bodies and titles during navigation and asynchronous updates. Match canvas analysis to source revisions, invalidate affected comments, preserve annotations during pagination, and provide a resizable record index with saved width preferences.
Existing OCR settings retain local behavior. Historical attachments without saved originals are not reconstructed. Advanced OCR options depend on the configured service; image sending depends on the effective model and Runtime.
Validation: full typecheck and lint passed; 477 focused tests passed across 12 files; staged whitespace checks passed. The full repository suite was not rerun for this commit.
Release note: Keep note drafts safe while switching workspaces, resize the record index, and revisit saved document attachments with OCR previews and selected images in chat.
Magic Notes previously supported rich-text records without a paged drawing or
PDF annotation workflow. Add the integrated PeopleLib Fabric and Quill editor
with flowing text, pen/highlighter, object transforms, images, paper templates,
PDF backgrounds with native text extraction, and raster PDF export. Saves are
manual; undo/redo remains scoped to an annotation page or Quill mode.
Analyze drafts, saved canvases and canvas-source todos with page images and
text when the default model supports images, or an explicitly labelled
text-only fallback. Keep successful saves when automatic analysis fails and
prevent MCP plain-text replacement of canvas records.
Move entry bodies and binary assets into local note files with schema 38
migration and verified readback. SQLite retains metadata, indexes, revisions,
todos and comments. Backups must coordinate SQLite and the adjacent notes
directory while writes are paused or the app is closed; no one-click backup
action is included.
Show a continuous record stream with independent collapsible record index and
AI pane, real first-page thumbnails, and scroll-only record navigation. Open a
blank text/canvas composer by default and reset it after creation. Protect
unsaved drafts and establish normalized editor baselines after saving so clean
records do not prompt again when leaving.
Validation: latest recorded focused run passed 149 tests across five files;
typecheck, lint and git diff --check passed. The prior user-reported full run
passed 4,713 tests before later corrections and UI changes; it is not a full
validation of this final snapshot. Tests were not rerun for this commit, as
requested; independent systematic review follows the commit.
Release note: Create paged notes with handwriting, flowing text and PDF
annotations, browse records through thumbnails, and request AI comments with
an explicit text-only fallback. Existing notes migrate to local file storage;
backups now need both the database and notes directory.
Image-only PPTX attachments failed with no indexable text even when a local
OCR model was configured. PPTX parsing now recognizes embedded PNG, JPEG
and WebP images through the existing local OCR path, preserves native text
and slide locators, and honors the selected parsing workflow.
OCR workers previously retained model sessions and WASM memory indefinitely
after successful parsing. Release the worker after 60 seconds with no active
or queued requests, reuse it for continuous work, and reload on demand.
Fast text/index modes still skip OCR. This does not render Office layouts,
recognize inherited master images, or change Agent execution permissions.
Validated four real PPTX attachments (40 pages), idle memory release and a
nine-page reimport after model reload on Windows x64 with PP-OCRv6 Tiny.
49 local OCR requests and zero text-model calls. All 4293 tests passed
with 67 skipped; typecheck, lint and the isolated Electron build passed.

Connect Dify, FastGPT and RAGFlow through read-only bindings, encrypted local credentials, shared retrieval and persistent citations. Configuration and removal affect GoodBuddy only.
Show active conversations across projects, retain older live work, and improve project dialog scrolling. Queue concurrent questions and route managed SSH OpenCode questions through the Agent. Preserve recoverable read/search errors and partial search results.
Document the Electron UI automation standard, real model and external knowledge validation, and remaining acceptance limits.
Validation: earlier full regression passed 4081 tests with 66 skipped; subsequent focused remote-question checks and real Linux evidence are recorded in feature progress. Precommit typecheck and lint passed; latest project dialog and shared UI suites passed 58 tests. The full suite was not rerun for the final dialog changes.
Release note: Use external knowledge in conversations, find active work across projects, and answer concurrent local or managed SSH OpenCode questions. Managed SSH questions require the updated Agent adapter.
Execute could stall on workspace-external access or native child-session
permissions, while structured questions could be lost or answered incorrectly.
Route owned OpenCode descendant interactions, correct Continue question and
custom-answer handling, and resolve DSH Execute ACP permissions without a
second approval. Ask remains read-only and unrelated sessions stay isolated.
Restore the required DSH session projection service. Reuse offline OpenCode
configuration by plugin version, remove unused npm shims from remote payloads,
normalize dependency modes, and accept real compound descriptors up to 4 MiB.
Fix intermittent Agent attach rejection and closed-handshake waits.
Add focused and real-Runtime regressions, document interaction boundaries and
validation evidence, and include the existing application/tool navigation
design drafts. Those navigation changes are design-only, not implemented UI.
Validation: full suite 3597 passed, 0 failed, 61 skipped across 338 files;
typecheck, lint, release-note verification, whitespace and relative-link checks
passed. Current-source Linux x64 installation, Ask/Execute, native subagent
external writes, reconnect and stop/bootstrap passed with 10 completed real
model calls, 13 native endpoint tests and 20 consecutive handshakes.
System sleep/wake and release CI packaging remain unverified.

Model connections can now save bounded JSON request headers and top-level body fields. Direct requests and Continue support both; local OpenCode and DeepSeek Harness use only native header support, while the managed remote OpenCode gateway applies both.
Runtime, protocol, and authentication fields keep precedence. Custom values are ordinary connection settings, not credential storage. This migrates Runtime settings from v20 to v21 and updates the DeepSeek control and managed Runtime ACP capabilities.
